Located in Board of Education District 6 and KCS Region 4, Halls Elementary School opened for students in August 1984.

We see education as a partnership between home and school preparing children to be respectful, productive citizens who take pride in being lifelong learners.

Jamey Romig

Jamey Romig is proud to once again serve the Halls Elementary community, a place that has shaped much of her educational career. With deep roots at Halls and a passion for creating welcoming, student-centered environments, she is committed to ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

Jamey and her husband, Doug—who works in the Knox County Schools transportation department—have six children who inspire her dedication to helping young people grow and thrive.

Her extensive experience includes roles as Principal at both Halls and Karns Elementary, Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach at Halls, Numeracy Coach, and classroom teacher at both Brickey McCloud and Belle Morris Elementary. Across all positions, she has focused on building strong relationships, fostering inclusive school cultures, and empowering students to reach their full potential.

Rebecca Headrick

Rebecca Headrick is delighted to serve as the Assistant Principal of Halls Elementary and is truly honored to join such a caring and dedicated school community. She looks forward to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff as they work together to support every child’s success.

This school year marks Rebecca’s 26th year in education, a journey that has taken her through meaningful roles at Beaumont, Dogwood, and most recently West Haven. Each experience has shaped her as an educator and leader, strengthening her commitment to creating welcoming, supportive environments where students can thrive.

Rebecca is excited to bring her passion, experience, and heart for children to Halls Elementary and is grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community.
